Wonder what they do the rest of the week ?
Well on 19th June, (Sunday) they organised a 10 mile time trial on the A168 at Dishforth in North Yorks.
Start time, a reasonable 8am, the course is usually pretty quick, not today. A crosswind for most of the way plus an headwind finish slowed times a little.
Phil Tyas, didn`t seem to notice the wind problem and knocked out his usual `21`. This time a 21min 39secs for 7th place, only 1minute 14 secs behind the winner Bevan Jones (20-25) riding for 53eleven. Average speeds, BJ 29.4mph, PT 27.7mph
With a name like Bevan Jones you`d expect him to come from Wales, no way, he`s from Brigg, Lincs. Just shows you can`t take anything for granted these days.
Well done Phil and well done to the `Sunday Club
