I was asked, why did you join Barnsley Road Club?
Well, I went out by myself and going round a fast bend, crashed through a hedge head over heels into a field. It was then I decided to join a club.
Turned up at the Townend, met 20 plus riders from BRC who made me feel welcome, completed the club run and have hardly missed one since.
That was 36 years ago!!!
