So Dominic got off the ferry and quickly spun across to Rotterdam Central Train station utilising a short ferry crossing. Where he met the Malone Family from Isle of White.

Dom caught the train to Eindhoven with a minute to spare, changed to his destination meeting Zahndre top lad from South Africa.

The 3 met up with Dominic at a great beer restaurant in Venlo

They'd had a strong start with 34 miles in the legs and very little stopping but this was quickly quashed after their fantastic sandwiches in Venlo. During this stint the three had met a fellow cyclist - Jost, who shared some information on an amazing view and cable car later on the Rhine and who passed 5-10 of the initial morning nicely.

But...

A tubeless failure, puncture and persistent routing issues towards the end of the ride ended in a fast riding but slow going day.

Now in Cologne (Koln) they're safely unpacked, showered and enjoying a late beer in the hotel bar.
