BRC Team Record.

B.R.C. had 5 riders at the Yorkshire R.C `25` this morning on the V236/1 near Thirsk.

Fastest of the 5 was Darren Gough with a fast P.B. of 54 minutes 09 seconds. Phil Tyas clocked 57m 54s, another great ride by him. Wayne Randall made up the new Team Record holders with 59m 37s.

The other 2 riders were Dek Crawshaw 59m 58s, Dek has ridden a tremendous amount of `under the hour` consecutive rides, great stuff Mr President. Last but not least was the `wonder lass` Josie Smith. Another P.B., this one just seconds outside the magic hour barrier (25 mph), 1hr 00m 09s. Fantastic.

Conditions were not ideal with a difficult side wind on this exposed course.

The Team Record that was broken was set in 1989 by 3 Junior riders all under 18 years. They were Daz Thompson, Lee Mosley & Steve Johnson & the time they set, 2hr 53m 08s. The new Team Record of 2h 51m 40s was faster by 1m 28s. Every record has to go one day.

Chapeau to everyone, including those 3 young lads of yesteryear.
