Man's Xmas Missile

šŸ Race Report šŸ

I had a blast today at the Manchester & District TTA Christmas 10 TT.

This was staged in Footballers’ Wives country, the greasy lanes smelling of money and horse manure. The entire course felt like a false flat and was a mixture of country lanes and the A50 towards Knutsford. Two sharp left-handers were the only notable features.

The villain of the piece was the menacing crosswind which terrorised the middle 5 miles, the only relief being the two second echelon I formed as I passed my minute man at the halfway point 🫔 Dean Bowmer

Of course, Charlie Tanfield’s course record of 19:07 was never really going to be put under pressure by a 95kg black, white, and blue monster from South Yorkshire, but despite being on a road bike I finished a creditable 10th with a time of 24:56.

We go again next year.
