Phil Tyas was the lone B.R.C. rider in the Tickhill Velo`s 10 mile time trial on Saturday 7th August.
The course was the O10/1 Hatfield Woodhouse to Blaxton and back in the afternoon, it was fairly windy as usual and on this pan flat very exposed course, most riders could not get up to their normal speeds set on the so-called dragstrips.
Phil`s time, 22mins 52secs, way off his personal best of 20m 50s but non-the-less a very good time for Hatfield and it gave him 14th place. Average speed of 26.2 mph.
One person that doesn`t seem to know about it being hard was winner Ben Turner (Dinnington RC), he zapped out a course record of 18mins 59secs. Chapeau Ben lad.
