15th Aug. Saturday. Sherwood CC 25 mile TT. Course A25/34 (Fardon, Notts).
Start time 2-01pm. Two B.R.C riders competing.
Phil Tyas recorded an excellent time of 56mins 30secs, (26.5 mph). Good ride Phil considering the windy conditions.
Paul Ruta recorded an even better time when you know this guy`s age !!! Mid 70`s.
and his time ; 1hr 05mins 17secs. Wow, what a ride.
Winner, Joshua Giddings (HMT Hospitals/Giant CT) 48mins 17secs (31.1mph)
The following day, 16th Aug, Sunday at Mallory Park Racing Circuit Phil Tyas was again in action, this time in a 10 mile tt run by Race Rapid (Mallory Park).
Riding the roads of the racing circuit really impressed Phil, saying "closed road circuits are the way to go, no traffic".
His time, supplied by a transponder I think it`s called, 23mins 04secs (26.0 mph) for 21st place.
Another good ride Phil.

26th Aug. Wednesday evening. Cuckney Time Trial Series. North Notts.
Josie Smith burst into action on a course I know nothing about, sorry.
I do know that Josie`s time was a very impressive 23mins 44secs another `wow` time.
Josie took 2nd place just behind the Ladies winner Jo Tindley`s 23mins 36secs.
1st ride of the year a `23`, superb lass.
