Two PB`s in one race !

Weekending Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th September 2021.

First Harrogate Nova CC `10` on the V212 (A168 to Walshford rbt & back), starting at 2pm.

Starting at 2-15pm, Josie Smith hammered round this very draggy course in 23mins 26secs, averaging 25.6 mph.

13th in the combined event and 1st place in the Ladies event means a 3rd win in recent weeks. Well done Josie.

Phill Tyas took another top ten placing in the same event, 6th spot actually. 22mins 22secs, averaging 26.8 mph. Another great ride Phill.

Winner, Oliver Rees, Holmfirth CC. 20m 14s, (29.7mph).

Sunday morning, 8am start, Bramley Whs `25`, V236/1 Topcliffe to South Kilvinton, twice.

A fairly warm morning 16c with a rising SSE wind makes you wonder at the 14 DNS + 2 DNF.

Josie off at 9-14am took advantage of the conditions and the fast course to record her PERSONAL BEST 25 miles time of 56mins 13secs, a 26.7mph ride, 40 seconds improvement.

This was Josie`s 4th win in a ladies event recently and 16th place in the overall.

Phill Tyas also recorded a PERSONAL BEST time in this event, it was 54mins 50secs (first 54 minute ride for Phill), improving by over 10 secs to take 10th place overall.

Winner, Marcel Schubert, Darlington CC. 49m 57s. (30.0mph).

Four great rides by Phill and Josie (her last rides of the season) and to both gain PB`s is a fantastic achievement. All the Club will surely join with me saying ...... Chapeau you two !
