Vineyards and orchards

Writer: Phil WatsonPhil Watson

Today’s ride was scenic and challenging, moving away from the Rhine and spending most of the day riding through vineyards and orchards.

Taking in the scenery and fresh air in rural Germany was lovely as we made our way to Heindelberg. The weather held up most of the day, however in the last 12 miles the heavens opened to heavy rain showers but it was still warm thankfully, no rain jackets required.

We are in our accommodation and have been rung by Gerhard and will met them in a Bar for drinks and then an Italian!
